Grieves & Budo "Cloud Man" Music Video from Jesse Brown on Vimeo.
Pure and simple, beautiful bit of stop-motion magic in this music video. Created by the brains behind the Fleet Foxes’ excellent Mykonos video, Jesse Brown and Christian Hansen. As satisfying as a weekend getting accidently sunburnt in the park.

un video: The Futureheads - The heartbeat song
Enjoy.

Fotos: TV Sets from Cuba - Simone Lueck

"I live in LA and I like it here. I like that the palm trees were all planted at the same time. I like that Gloria Swanson played herself in Sunset Boulevard. I like that she had it, and then she lost it, and she didn't know the difference. I like that she buried her dead chimp in a satin lined casket. Making pictures in LA is good. It's like sifting through an old trunk filled with worn out fan letters and a bright blonde lock of hair from 1953."

un video: 70 Million - Hold your horses
This video its just awesome. Their concept was simple: reenact—using face paint, cardboard cutouts and lots of drapery—a lineup of classic paintings while performing their new song. Their portrayals are impressively orchestrated, surprisingly accurate and really pretty funny. For Rembrandt’s Anatomy Lesson, an otherwise stiff corpse fingers a keyboard; Da Vinci’s The Last Supper features Jesus pounding a pot with a couple of salad spoons; and Botticelli’s Venus strums an advantageously placed guitar. Plus, the tune itself is infectious! Coming from the lips of goddesses, saints and lovers, it makes for art worthy of the adjective “fine.”

un video: the black belles - what can I do?

Adobe Photoshop Cook from Lait Noir on Vimeo.

I wanna be your dog
I Wanna Be Your Dog from LEGS on Vimeo.
In the 30 years since the Stooges recorded “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” the song has been covered by a variety of other artists, including Uncle Tupelo, Joan Jet and Sonic Youth (“Weird Al” Yankovic even paid tribute, with the parody “Let Me Be Your Hog”). But perhaps the most unexpected—and entertaining— version is this short film by Georgie Greville, who won the Samsung Grand Prix for this piece at Diane Pernet's festival 'A Shaded View on Fashion Film'
Described as a “a subversive take on the casting process,” the film opens with impossibly lovely young models anxiously awaiting their moment to audition. The recognizable Stooges beat is supplied by clicking heels, nervously tapping feet and drumming fingernails—each girl recites a lyric before eventually joining the others for the chorus. Have the words “I wanna be your dog” ever taken on such dark overtones as when each pretty face blends into the next, all in the hopes of pleasing a visibly bored casting director? I guess Iggy Pop would approve.
